$59.00

Vintage Japanese Imari porcelain bowl, hand painted in the classic palette of cobalt blue, iron red/orange, green and gold. The interior rim has alternating panels — red ground with bird-and-floral medallions and cobalt blue with pomegranate sprays — around a central medallion of orange chrysanthemums with blue and gold foliage. The white exterior alternates red bird panels with floral sprigs. Scalloped rim with gold trim. Blue seal mark on the base; four felt pads fitted to the foot. Light age wear near the foot ring, consistent with age; no chips or cracks. Measures about 6 inches in diameter. Japanese export porcelain, circa 1960s–1970s.
